Bonjour! Je m'appelle Madame Awkerman. You can call me Madame, Madame Awkerman, Mrs. Awkerman, or Mrs. A. I do not answer to "Hey Miss Teacher lady," or "Miss Um, Miss Um..." :-) My name is on the board for easy reference.

I teach Exploratory French, French I, and I supervise Learning Support. I have been teaching here since the fall of 2003. I am originally from a small town called Walker, near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Things I love: Butterflies, animals (horses and dogs, mostly), sushi, LOLcats, Food Network, movies, music (Including French music!), my husband, my family, travel, sunshine, sparkly things, gadgets, the smell of a new book.

Things I can't live without: my husband, Cajun food, and a good book on a rainy day!

Things I CAN live without: Snow, centipedes, and spiders

Favorite authors (that you should definitely check out!): L.M. Montgomery, Robin McKinley, Laurie R. King, Charlotte Brontë, and it is a truth universally acknowledged that Jane Austen is my absolute favorite! (You get a French pencil if you get the reference!)
