Parent Involvement
We Need Volunteers
Parents are the first and most important teacher your child will ever have. We encourage you to get involved by volunteering your time in whatever area you are interested: tutoring, room parent, computer labs, or the numerous activities of the PTA or Dad's Club. Contact the office or your child's teacher if you would like to volunteer.
Parent Teacher Association
The McKinley PTA provides many opportunites for parents to get involved in the school. The Fall Fest in Septemer, and Fun Night in the spring, are the major fundraisers. The McKinley Pawprints is a monthly newsletter that contains information about the PTA and the school. The PTA provides volunteers for the Writing Center and many school activities.

Friends of McKinley
Mission Statement: This mission of Friends of McKinley is to involve the McKinley community in developing, sharing, and celebrating the qualities that enhance our student's opportunities to succeed.
- A team of people and organizations who are dedicated to McKinley's continued success.
- A team who will work with the PTA, Site Council, staff, students, and neighbors on future planning, priorities, and action.
- A team who want to attract and maximize needed resources for the future enhancement of the McKinley educational experience.
McKinley Dads' Club
Dads' Club is for all parents, guardians, grandparents, as well as dads. It provides fall and spring soccer with parent coaches for kindergarten through fifth grades. Dads' Club also buys equipment as needed for McKinley School, hosts the McKinley Family Movie Nights, and helps with almost all McKinley events. The Dads' Club phone number is 326-6080. This is an automated system that allows callers to select the sport (soccer, volleyball, or softball) and then listen to information. you may listen all the way through the recorded message and leave a message for a return call.
